Vocational Training Position Vehicle Construction Mechanic (m/f)

The Training:

• Chassis and vehicle construction mechanics produce chassis parts and truck bodies. They work in production or in the repair of vehicles at a producer of commercial vehicle bodies. Here you work with materials such as steel, aluminium, synthetics etc.
• The training period usually lasts about three and a half years. The training takes place at the company and at a the vocational school. This profession includes specialty fields. In the third and fourth year of the training the contents are different and one can choose between the specialties chassis construction technology or vehicle construction technology.
• If you choose the field of chassis construction technology, you further develop your qualifications in the construction of chassis, chassis parts or vehicle bodies. You construct prototypes, lifting and loading auxilliary equipment, air conditioning systems or other accessories.
